CHEROKEE NATIONAL FOREST: A History

Created in 1920, the 650,000-acre Cherokee National Forest lies north and south of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It pays tribute to the heritage in its name and protects an ancient Indigenous burial cave and a portion of the Trail of Tears. Fully illustrated some in color.
