ON AGORAPHOBIA

In his early twenties, Caveney began to suffer from a deep fear of the world outside his window. This intense anxiety was eventually diagnosed as agoraphobia, and Caveney's quest to understand his illness brought him back to his first love: books. He finds the literary world is full of agoraphobics once you go looking for them.
